This method may seem convenient. But in the long run, it is not much useful. This category of link checkers mostly consists of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox extensions.
After installing these extensions, head to a blog’s comment section. Check for already present comments. If the commentator’s name is highlighted, it represents nofollow links. Otherwise, dofollow link is present, you may comment and get a backlink!
But for this method to work, you must visit each blog and check for the comments. A tedious task, I must say.

The first part of this method is to look for your competitor’s backlinks. This is a rewarding strategy, believe me. For this, visit the site ‘backlinkwatch.com’.
Write the name of your competitor’s blog and click ‘search’. The site will load up prominent backlinks of your competitor.
Now, from this list, check for blogs with dofollow links. This is easy to do. On the extreme right side of the table, it will be clearly mentioned whether the blog is dofollow or not! Only note down dofollow ones.
Now, you have a list of dofollow backlinks of your competitor. It is your turn to use those blogs for getting backlinks! Wait, before you start commenting, check the PageRanks and reputation of those blogs.
