VNC configuration in Redhat/Fedora/CentOS

1) Checking installed vnc – Login as root

2) Check the package of vnc –

3) Open the configuration file – /etc/sysconfig/vncserver

4) Edit the configuration file – As shown – Copy the two lines & edit for the system user.Default port for vnc is 5900. You can change by adding numbers after vncserver [ ]. If you mention [95] –>then 5900+95=5995 is the new port no for vnc.

5) Provide vncpassphrase – Provide the password for vnc configured user.

6) Restart the service once –

7) Now configure gnome settings for specified user –

8) Restart the service And you can remotely connect to your system –

9) Set vncserver run at startup –

Clik here to view.
Now your system is accessible from VNC viewer application.
